Mint Brownies

Ingredients

Brownies

  • 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Frosting

  • 4 tbs softened butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • A few drops of green food coloring
  • 2 tbs milk or half and half
  • 1 tsp peppermint flavoring

Glaze Topping

  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 tbs butter

Directions

Brownies

  1. Melt chocolate and butter together, cool and add eggs, sugar, vanilla, flour and salt; blend well.
  2. Pour batter into a well greased 13x9 inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Cool and spread with frosting, refrigerate and top frosting with glaze.

Frosting

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend until creamy.
  2. Spread on cool brownies and refrigerate while making glaze

Glaze

  1. Mix together and blend well; spread on top of frosting
