Mazarine Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 8 drops almond extract (more if needed)
  • 1 1/2 dl milk
  • 3 dL sugar
  • 25 pulverized almonds
  • 3 dL flour
  • 1/2 tsk baking powder
  • 1 msk vanilla sugar
  • 175 grams melted butter (3/4 cup + 1 tbs)
  • Butter + Breadcrumbs in the cake pan

Glaze

  • 1 dL powdered sugar
  • 1 - 2 tsp water

Directions

  1. Whip egg with almond extract and milk.
  2. Add sugar, the pulverized almond, flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar.
  3. Put in the melted butter (cooled) and stir.
  4. Put batter in a springform pan.
  5. Bake it on the lower rack in the oven at 150F (30C) for about an hour.
  6. Mix the glaze and spread it over the cake when it has cooled.
