Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 12 ounce package (2 cups) semi sweet chocolate morsels, divided
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup quaker oats
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Powdered sugar
Directions
- Heat oven to 350F and lightly grease a 13x9 inch pan
- Beat sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth
- Add 1 cup morsels, melted and mix well
- Add flour, oats, baking powder, and remaining cup of morsels and nuts, mixing well. Spread into prepared pan
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until brownies pull away from sides of pan.
- Cool completely and sprinkle powdered sugar if desired, and cut into bars.
